'Green Fund I' was formed to invest equity and equity-like capital in greenfield and operational small-scale renewable energy assets located in Sub-Saharan Africa, with an initial focus on East Africa.
Multiple power-producing technologies have been considered, but a primary focus has been placed on run-of-the-river hydropower assets.

Gigawatt Global Rwanda
A 8.5 megawatt (MW), 28 260-panel solar power plant located in Rwamagana, Eastern Province of Rwanda.

Community: The land underpinning the project is leased from the Agahozo-Shalom Youth 
 Village, and as a result provides the school for vulnerable youth with significant and reliable financial resources.

A 2.6 MW hydropower plant in Musanze, Northern Province of Rwanda.

Community: Rwaza's power is fed to the national grid, allowing the grid to expand to new users and increase the quality of power to rural communities. The power plant also provides high skilled jobs to the community.

A portfolio of solar energy projects located in Kenya, Uganda, Nigeria, Tanzania and South Africa.

Nyirahindwe Hydropower Project
A 1.333 MW hydropower plant under construction in Nyirahindwe, Western Province of Rwanda.
